Ultrasound scanning in Lithuania
Another trip to Lithuania and scanning patients with Prof. Rutkauskas between 19-22 December 2023. Fantastic experience that gave me a chance of improving my technique and the speed of scanning. Some interesting cases included:
- Schwannoma of the tibial nerve
- Median nerve pathology – indicating the carpal tunnel syndrome
- Peripherial vein thrombosis – presenting as painless, elongated lump on the forearm
- Osteochondroma – benign enlargment of the proximal humerus
- Reactive changes within the Hoffa fat pad
- Scanning hip joints in newborns using Graf’s method
- Large, widespread changes of the fat tissue presenting as a large lesion
