Here are some frequent questions (FAQ) I receive from patients
How much does physiotherapy cost?
The most common FAQ. The prices range from £35 to £60. Please check my rates here.
What is your speciality?
I specialize in back pain management but can also help patients with other musculoskeletal issues such as shoulder, hip, or knee pain.
What does the first/initial consultation look like?
Another common FAQ.
The initial consultation consists of two parts. In the beginning, I will ask you a few questions to help me find out about you and your injury.
I may also carry out some tests to help me find the source of pain.
In the second part of the appointment, you will receive therapy.
I will also discuss my findings with you and formulate a therapy plan.
FAQ – Do you do home visits?
Yes, I do home visits in Southampton and the surrounding areas. Please contact me on 02382182416 to make sure I cover your area.
FAQ – How to prepare for a visit?
It is best to avoid taking pain-killers before the visit. Otherwise it may be difficult to know if therapy is effective or not. Also, I advise patients to skip a large meal before therapy and wear loose clothing.
FAQ – What are your qualifications?
I am a Chartered Physiotherapist registered with the HCPC and the CSP. In addition to that, I qualified as a Master Myoskeletal Therapist in 2020.
Check the full list of my qualifications in the ‘About Physio-Soton’ section.
FAQ – What are common side effects of therapy
The most common side effects are muscular discomfort and general tiredness.
Any side effects following therapy should subside within 72 hours.
FAQ – Do you help pregnant women?
Yes, I help pregnant women with all sorts of aches and pains originating from the musculoskeletal system.
