I have just completed the OMT Diploma Course in Osteopathic articulation in London (20-22 April). We have covered so much! Osteopathic articulation is all about joints mobilization with the use of moderate amplitude forces. The main objectives of articulation are:
- To increase the range of movement in joints
- Improve joints’ nourishment
- Pain reduction
The training we received was almost 100% hands – on and this is what I liked best. Although I was familiar with some techniques, I have learnt several new ones that I am planning to use in my practice. I particularly liked:
- Seated thoracic articulation facing patient
- Scapulothoracic Articulation
Training was delivered professionally by Jimmy Michael and Giles Gyer, who made the whole thing very interesting and fun. The course was also a great opportunity for meeting and networking with other therapists. Only good memories from this one!
Till next time!
